I would have said it all comes under the same heading really. Translated they all refer to the life force, or divine energy that surrounds us and run through us, so I would have said it means the same thing. As long as your healing work involves energy, then it involves the divine energy that surrounds and runs through all of us.

Reiki, Ki, Chi, Prana.........Spiritual energy, Life force, divine energy........... It is all about being at one with yourself and all around you. Universal energy and balance, spiritual calm. I practice Reflexology, Indian head massage and i am looking forward to taking my 2nd degree in Reiki and i do believe that it is all connected. It is all one energy, you just have to let yourself go, relax and feel it flow through you, balancing your body and brining about an inner peace.......

I feel that Qi & Prana are universal life force; primal creative power of unformed endlessly fertile possibility . Reiki is of this family, also available to us all. The crucial difference for me is that Reiki exists with a clear single purpose, to heal. Reiki is entirely personal, responding perfectly to the unique needs of each individual. Reiki waits to be asked, for us to show what we need, knowing what that is when we don't. Qi & Prana allow us to ask anything of life, and Reiki provides love's answer to the question of well-being.

My first immediate response to this is, do we really need to define things using words (that are defined by man). For me with Reiki my feelings, soulful thoughts, life force energy (my aliveness, that ebbs and flows constantly) all feel connected linked in somehow but always in a constant state of change. Its all about what you feel at that point in time, and how you define that or percieve it is a personal thing again defined by that moment, that definition changes as you have different experiences as you grow and change too over time. How can you name something that is constantly changeable within people, with people, between people, with different focus, feelings, time, experience? A complicated thing to understand and yet so simple and powerful. And still these sentences do not discribe it, words are not enough!

For me Reiki and Chi is about Energy and emotional well-being, becoming aware of it and allowing it in. Learning to understand it and to work with it. It works for the greater good for you and helps when you are working for the greater good of others, always there when you most need it. It allows the sunshine into your soul which enables you to see the brighter side of dark days and have a positive outlook for the future. Like Amanda, Reiki and Chi are now a part of me and my life force, my other skills I give as gifts when they are most needed. They all have the same aim, to restore your emotional well-being, allowing you to move forward with greater energy.

I think it's all energy that doesn't need to be defined but to be experienced. Feeling how amazing good energy can be and the amazing effect it has on of our lifes!
