Further to my last Blog regarding the regulation of Reiki Practitioners and Master/teachers, I have decided to withdraw my membership from the UK Reiki Federation who are one of the organizations attempting to do this. At the moment the Reiki Council haven't gone much further in working out exactly how this is supposed to be implemented; ego's and power are at the forefront of this riduculous idea. The West always want bits of paper to prove authenticity, they cannot own Reiki, no-one can.
I am advising my students to dig deep and decide for themselves which way they want to go; I have joined Shibumi Reiki www.shibumireiki.org who are an organization which follow the true precepts of Mikao Usui, simply and uncluttered, being true and honest with ourselves; the Association is non-profit making and its aim is to support and promote the Japanese art of the system of Reiki. Its vision is a world where the system of Reiki is respected, understood and utilized as a Japanese practice that was developed my Mikao Usui, for the purpose of self-healing and personal growth through spiritual discipline.
This vision must be carried forward not held back by dogmatic, egotistical people whose sole purpose is to destroy this wonderful system.
