Courses
Overview
The teaching of Reiki is a time of Student and Master coming together.
The relationship between the Student and Master form a special
bond,
one that is supportive to both of them. It's a time of
maintaining a relationship that continues to empower the student;
I encourage my students to find their own
answers deep inside themselves.
When we change our way of thought we can truly experience oneness
with all things, becoming one with man and nature. To get to this
point we need
to de-clutter and throw out all the old unwanted
negativity and allow new growth, new seeds to create peace within
ourselves.
In the First Degree - Shoden you will be awakened and empowered
through the energy, you will become more open and aware, experiencing
light and stillness. Find out more about
the Shoden Reiki course and its costs.
The Second Degree - Okuden is known as Practitioner Level it is
for anyone wanting to practise Reiki as a profession, although
Mikao Usui's intention was for furthering self-healing and spiritual
development only. This degree will take you to a deeper level
of consciousness and oneness. Find out
more about the Okuden Reiki course and its costs.
Master/Teacher - Shinpiden enables the student to teach
and to hold classes. Not many people take this higher path, but
once they do, everything from this point becomes Reiki- you live
it! These courses are delivered by arrangement only.
Contact Jenny now to discuss your
requirements.
I teach the original Japanese Reiki in the Usui tradition in its
simplest form, uncluttered and powerful, covering also Western
and Traditional teachings. Courses are generally held in my cabin
located in a sleepy Wiltshire hamlet overlooking lovely, open
countryside creating a calm and peaceful environment. The Course
is usually held on a weekend, or by arrangement, they are very
informal and enjoyable with every opportunity for discussion.
You will be introduced to exercises enabling you to experience
different levels of energy, tuition on the history of Reiki and
'hands on approach'.
Time is given for quiet and meditation. When Reiki is experienced
for the first time it is a very special emotion and not to be
hurried! Read what my students say

Details of the First Degree Course - Shoden
For the Course weekend it is recommended that you wear loose comfortable
clothing, and please bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee etc
will be provided.
On the Course weekend we will talk about the origins and history
of Reiki, where it comes from, and the Reiki principles. During
the first day you will be given three, simple but powerful connections
called Reiju empowerments. This traditional Japanese empowerment
will open you up to the Reiki energy, allowing it to flow through
you, enabling you to give Reiki treatments to your family and
friends and those around you. These simple empowerments will stay
with you forever.
We will do some self-healing meditations and self-healing treatments,
so you can feel the energy making you stronger and creating a
clearer channel for Reiki, energy exercises called Hatsu Rei Ho
will also be taught. It is a very important discipline to treat
yourself everyday. The Western approach to self-healing will also
be covered giving you a strong foundation in both systems.
Energy exercises will be demonstrated and practiced, sometimes
in pairs or by yourself, these are fun to try and a very effective
way of experiencing energy from a different perspective e.g.:
Feeling Energy between your hands; in a partners' hands; pushing
someone off balance using Energy and playing with 'Energy Balls'!
During the afternoon we will talk about treating other people
and how this is done. I will introduce Reiji Ho, which is 'scanning'
the body with your hands allowing your intuition to be involved,
you will then practise this exercise and discuss how it felt for
you. When this has been completed you will pair up with another
student and give a full Reiki treatment, front and back of the
body, and get feedback from them before you swap!
We will do some more meditation exercises for you to end the day
calmly and peacefully.
Second
Day
On the morning of the second part of the Course, we will review
and go over the things we did on the previous day and questions
and any points can be raised.
A further treatment will be given and received by each student
giving them a strong knowledge and foundation for the 'hands on'
approach and Reiji Ho.
A general overview of a Japanese self-treatment meditation will
be given and how self-treatments are done in the Western way.
A Certificate will be awarded after completion of the Course.

Details
of the Second Degree Course - Okuden.
For the day of the Course weekend it is recommended that you wear
loose, comfortable clothing and please bring a packed lunch. Water,
tea and coffee etc will be provided.
Reiki Second Degree is 'Practitioner Level'. It is essential training
for anyone wanting to set up a practice as a professional, although
this wasn't what Usui Sensei intended, it is how Reiki has evolved.
A gap of at least three months needs be taken before the Second
Degree, to enable students to experience and practice Reiki on
their family and friends and themselves. When the time is right
to progress, Reiki will let you know! Not everyone will go forward
to this level; it is entirely up to the individual and their own
spiritual path.
We start the Course by discussing and reviewing the experiences
the students have had since obtaining their Reiki First Degree.
how people, who have received Reiki by the student felt and the
feedback; and how students feel within themselves.
At Reiki Second Degree three symbols are introduced and detailed
information will be given on their individual meaning, pronunciation
and how they are used when giving a Reiki treatment. A range of
different ways the symbols are used will be explained when used
in practice.
Three empowerments will be given during the course of the day
and you will be introduced to various energy exercises. You will
use the symbols on each other to practice their effects and learn
how the symbols are used to treat others and also yourself. The
symbol for distance healing creates a state of oneness and can
also be used for treating someone; it does not however, produce
energy! It creates a state where you can move beyond time
and space. So I will instruct you how to draw it; how to say its
name; and how to send it.
A meditation exercise will be carried out before the close of
the first day.
Second
Day
At the beginning of the second part of the Course we will do a
comprehensive review of the things we did on the previous day.
Students can raise questions and any points they wish to discuss.
We will go through the symbols again to make sure they are fully
understood and students will demonstrate their knowledge by using
them on each other in various ways.
The Western approach to Reiki and how it differs from its original
form will be discussed and demonstrated. We will do a Reiji Ho
exercise, which opens students up to the Energy. This technique
develops your intuition and intent by guiding your hands to the
individual needs of the person receiving Reiki.
A
certificate will be given on completion of the Course.
On going Support
After the Course has ended you can contact Jenny by telephone or email
her at anytime if you have any questions about the Course, or would
like to talk about your experiences with Reiki.
Reiki review evenings will be arranged for students to meet up again,
